Sinn Féin TD for Donegal North East, Pádraig Mac Lochlainn, has accused Fine Gael of sacrificing GP care for patients in order to give tax breaks to the top earners in the country.
Sinn Féin Councillor and General Election Candidate Gary Doherty has spoken of his concern for the future of St Joseph’s, Lifford and Ramelton Community Hospitals following a response from Minister of State at the Department of Health, Kathleen Lynch, in which she fails to rule out bed closures or staffing reductions at the units as part of the Government’s Capital Programme for Nursing Home facilities announced last week.
Sinn Féin Finance Spokesperson Deputy Pearse Doherty has expressed his disappointed at a decision by An Post to reconfigure postal services in West Donegal which will see the consolidation of mail operations at offices in Derrybeg, Dunfanaghy and Gortahork and moved to a new delivery service unit in Falcarragh.
Sinn Féin Councillor Gary Doherty has condemned Government plans to end long term residential nursing care at Lifford, Ramelton and St Joseph’s Community Hospitals as part of its recently announced programme of refurbishment and replacement of public nursing homes.
